Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct condition, value, and damage surveys on offshore support vessels, platforms, and related equipment.
  • •Perform technical inspections of marine systems, including propulsion, electrical, hydraulic, and navigational equipment.
  • •Diagnose faults and manage repair contracts to ensure work meets required standards.
  • •Prepare detailed survey reports documenting findings and recommendations for clients.
  • •Ensure inspected assets comply with classification society rules, maritime regulations, and industry safety standards; liaise with clients and travel to offshore locations for on-site duties.
Travel: Extensive travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 30 - 50 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience as a Marine Technician, Marine Engineer, or similar offshore oil and gas technical role.
  • •Strong knowledge of marine diesel engines, power generation, and auxiliary systems.
  • •Experience in marine surveying (pre-sale, pre-purchase, or insurance damage claim assessments).
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail for report writing.
  • •Willingness and physical ability to travel extensively and work offshore for extended periods; BOSIET/HUET are desirable.
