Key Responsibilities

  • •Process, review, and validate complex UK payroll data inputs (e.g., salary changes, variable compensation, absences, benefits).
  • •Independently perform payroll reconciliations, validations, and variance analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • •Manage UK payroll returns, reporting, and data requirements to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • •Apply strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation to payroll decisions, ensuring compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, and employment legislation.
  • •Coordinate payroll controls and documentation (SOPs), and partner with internal teams and external payroll/tax vendors for seamless payroll operations.

Key Requirements

  • •Experienced hands-on UK payroll experience, including practical UK payroll processing and statutory requirements.
  • •Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, National Insurance, and relevant UK employment legislation.
  • •Experience managing UK payroll returns and statutory reporting with strong attention to detail.
  • •Ability to perform detailed payroll reconciliations, validations, and variance analysis on large/complex payroll datasets.
  • •Experience of, or strong knowledge relating to, Modified Payroll is highly desirable.
