Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute work plans for low-to-moderate complexity R&D projects and proactively progress to meet deliverables.
  • •Assist in developing and executing project timelines, including contingency planning.
  • •Develop prototypes with guidance, refine based on consumer feedback, and evaluate feasibility using benchtop and pilot plant work.
  • •Conduct trials in the pilot plant and/or manufacturing facilities to assess manufacturing capability and consumer acceptability.
  • •Incorporate nutritional and cost parameters into product design; communicate plans, results, and project risks with stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Science in Food Science or a related field.
  • •6 months of food product development experience desired (internships, co-ops, and contractor roles count).
  • •Demonstrated experience commercializing products on the bench and/or in a manufacturing environment.
  • •Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work with ambiguity to find solutions.
  • •Strong planning, written/oral communication, and basic understanding of consumer testing methodologies.
