Key Responsibilities

  • •Bridge data science and engineering to convert development data into actionable delivery insights across SAP Commerce release cycles.
  • •Design and maintain a Commerce-wide engineering metrics framework to track delivery health and team performance.
  • •Review metrics health at team, product, and portfolio levels to surface bottlenecks and delivery risks early.
  • •Embed retrospective learnings into process standards to create a continuous improvement loop across Commerce teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven track record applying industry-academic research to agile contexts, delivering data-driven recommendations with industry partners.
  • •Hands-on technical skills in data analysis and LLM/AI-assisted prototyping, working with engineering telemetry data (e.g., Jira), with programming skills preferred (Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • •Ability to lead research projects and manage industry-academic partnerships and multi-stakeholder initiatives, including co-organizing large-scale events.
