Key Responsibilities

  • •Alert handling: Analyze and tune security alerts and interpret security events which may lead to incidents.
  • •Incident Response activities: Identify, investigate and respond to potential security incidents in order to minimize the operational and organizational impact.
  • •Policy fine-tuning and maintain the current policies: Actively pursue abnormal activity on assets and new attack trends and fine tune the policies accordingly in order to tighten the security.
  • •ITIL: Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management would be beneficial.
  • •Develop, maintain, test and troubleshoot WAF rulesets and incident response plans, onboarding applications to the WAF, and reviewing attack trends with customers.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience in IT security or cybersecurity operations, with hands-on incident response and threat detection capabilities.
  • •Strong knowledge of cloud concepts and APIs, with hands-on experience on Akamai cloud platform.
  • •Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) and basic automation (Terraform or similar).
  • •Experience in analyzing security events, determining threat scope, and advising on containment and remediation.
  • •Understanding of OWASP Top 10, networking concepts (HTTP, SSL, DNS, etc.), and familiarity with WAF or reverse proxy security appliances.
