Key Responsibilities

•Develop and check hydraulic models to assist the design of Flood Alleviation Schemes, deliver Flood Risk Assessments and conduct reservoir flood studies
•Develop water quality models using industry-standard software (MIKE, Delft3D, SIMCAT, ICM)
•Conceptualise and scope modelling approaches with consideration of risks and opportunities
•Undertake and check hydrological assessments including Flood Estimation Handbook, ReFH2 and WINFAP
•Lead and input into tenders ranging from one-off projects to multimillion-pound framework contracts

Key Requirements

•Significant experience in hydraulic and water quality modelling software (e.g., Mike, ICM, SIMCAT, Flood Modeller, and/or TUFLOW)
•Knowledge of Environment Agency requirements for flood models and flood risk assessments
•Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
•Obtained or near to obtaining professional qualification with CIWEM or similar
•Practical knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Anaconda, Ruby) would be advantageous
