Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise the LWD process on site, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation, and quality control delivery to the customer.
  • •Act as the lead engineer on most jobs, ensuring customer-facing data is accurate, timely, and meets service quality standards.
  • •Provide technical consultation on LWD job elements including mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, mud system, and BHA dynamics.
  • •Test tools and equipment before, during, and after each job, and identify/correct operational problems to minimize service impact.
  • •Complete required forms, databases, and reports, and ensure BHA assembly matches planned specifications (including make-up torque, doping, and handling).

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least one year of field experience in M/LWD.
  • •Ability to read and interpret formation well logs and directional survey information and other well-site data.
  • •Successful completion of the basic M/LWD training program and passing company tests (or meeting task guideline requirements).
  • •Technical aptitude to required standards, with strong communication, arithmetic, data entry, and recording skills.
  • •Possess relevant on and offshore safety certificates.
