Job Summary

Supervise the daily operations of the Maintenance Department, overseeing repairs and upkeep of production and plant equipment, as well as buildings and grounds. Lead safe maintenance work by enforcing EHS procedures (including lock-out/tag-out, confined spaces, and arc-flash), scheduling maintenance to minimize outages, directing technicians and contractors, and maintaining operational and personnel records. Provide technical guidance, manage resources and parts availability, and implement preventative maintenance and improvement modifications.

•Promote and ensure safe work habits, including compliance with maintenance-related safety procedures and goals.
•Supervise and establish safety procedures for maintenance work, including lock-out/tag-out, confined spaces, and arc-flash.
•Schedule and oversee repair and improvement of production and non-production equipment to minimize planned and unplanned outages.
•Supervise department personnel, including performance evaluations, recognition, discipline, training, and payroll approval; recommend training needs.
•Maintain records and provide technical advice on equipment modifications, preventative maintenance programs, and plant facility improvements.

Key Requirements

•Strong knowledge of mechanical crafts and procedures (millwright, pipefitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, sheet metal, machinist skills).
•Strong working knowledge of electricity (AC/DC, electronics, power distribution, circuitry protection).
•5–7 years of in-plant exposure to mechanical or electrical maintenance; prior supervisory experience is a plus.
