Job Summary

Join WSP’s Sustainable Water Management team delivering flood risk management across fluvial and pluvial modelling projects. You’ll use flood modelling software to scope and develop hydraulic modelling approaches, lead or support technical reviews, and help produce client-ready reports and presentations. The role also involves collaborating with hydraulic modelling experts, supporting bids and proposals, and contributing to project, commercial, and financial management for a national programme.

Key Responsibilities

•Work on fluvial and pluvial modelling projects using flood modelling software (e.g., Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HECRAS, ICM).
•Support flood modelling studies within the team and scope/develop hydraulic modelling approaches.
•Lead or support technical reviews of hydraulic models and provide technical oversight.
•Prepare or support technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
•Support business development by identifying opportunities and leading proposal preparation, plus project/commercial/financial management and client liaison.

Key Requirements

•Proven track record in undertaking fluvial and pluvial hydraulic modelling.
•Experience providing technical leadership in flood modelling within teams.
•Experience undertaking model reviews for statutory bodies.
•Commercial experience, including project management and bid preparation.
•Chartership with a relevant professional body (or willingness to work towards it).
