Job Summary

Shape transportation infrastructure across the GTA by building and maintaining 3D electrical BIM models for transit and transportation facility projects. You’ll design and model power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and emergency power, prepare installation details for submission packages, and create drawings that meet standards and deadlines. Work with electrical engineers and senior designers, coordinate with offshore teams, and stay current with BIM and digital delivery technologies.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and 3D model electrical power distribution, circuiting, conduit and duct bank routing, bonding & grounding, lightning protection, emergency power, UPS, generators, and fire alarm systems.
•Perform basic design and 3D modeling for interior, exterior, landscape, façade, art lighting, fixture selection, and lighting controls.
•Prepare system and equipment installation details for project submission packages.
•Develop drawings independently or collaboratively to meet project standards and deadlines.
•Apply WSP BIM standards and coordinate with offshore design teams; support engineers and senior designers with system concepts, calculations, and technical design input.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 77,400 - 102,500 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in Electrical and/or Lighting design, CAD, BIM 3D Revit Modeling, and use of ACC (Autodesk Collaboration Cloud).
•Strong knowledge of power distribution, circuiting, conduit/duct bank sizing, equipment selection, fire alarm & suppression systems, and emergency power distribution.
•Hands-on experience with lighting systems, fixture selection, lighting controls, and emergency egress lighting.
•Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM add-ins; familiarity with Dynamo scripting and Civil 3D is considered an asset.
•Experience with National or Regional BIM standards and digital design automation (asset).
