Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain a multi-year, risk-based Internal Audit Strategy, including audit planning, resourcing, budgeting, and audit outcomes for Audit Committee approval.
  • •Lead and oversee audit and advisory engagements, ensuring conformity with GIAS and approved methodologies, and monitor implementation of recommendations.
  • •Serve as principal advisor to the Audit Committee on governance effectiveness, risk management, internal controls, fraud investigations, and regulatory concerns.
  • •Provide independent assurance over governance, board oversight, ethics, delegation of authority, ESG governance, crisis management, business continuity governance, and whistleblowing mechanisms.
  • •Deliver assurance on fraud risk management and investigations, plus technology and cybersecurity, coordinating with Legal, Compliance, HR, and external advisors as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • •Professional certifications required, including CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • •Minimum 15+ years of progressive internal audit, risk management, controls, governance, or public accounting experience.
  • •At least 8-10 years in senior internal audit leadership roles with team management responsibility and prior interaction with Board and Audit Committees.
  • •Extensive hospitality experience and deep knowledge of internal control frameworks (COSO), SOX compliance, and risk management; strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP.
