Develop workout strategy for classified (special asset) commercial loans to minimize losses and non-accruals. Contact customers with delinquent payments by phone, identify default drivers, and negotiate loan collection, restructuring, and resolution paths. Oversee complex defense litigation, coordinate with legal counsel and liquidation vendors, and maintain accurate account documentation while monitoring risk and staying current on bankruptcy and legal precedent.

Key Responsibilities

•Contact customers by phone to cure past-due loans and identify the reason for payment default.
•Develop workout strategy to minimize non-accruals and charge-offs and increase recovery opportunities.
•Document and maintain complete, accurate account records and establish effective controls and processes to measure and monitor risks.
•Oversee complex cases involving defense lawsuits and provide direction to legal counsel and/or liquidators.
•Review new legal and liquidation assignments and engage legal and/or liquidation vendors; keep current on risk-related law changes and legal precedent.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or 2 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
•2 years of experience in liquidating assets held as collateral in a business banking and commercial loan portfolio.
•Knowledge of US Bankruptcy laws.
•Ability to negotiate settlements, workouts, and sale of security while adhering to state and federal regulations.
•Ability to maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
