Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with engineers, scientists, and modellers across conceptual and detail design and engineering phases.
  • •Provide specialized technical input for tailings management facilities, heap leach facilities, water impoundments, waste rock dump design, soil mechanics, soil improvement methods, and geosynthetic materials engineering.
  • •Assist project managers with delivery by managing your involvement, including time, budget, and quality control.
  • •Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, bill of quantities, and cost estimates.
  • •Develop client relationships, represent WSP on site, liaise with Mining Team networks, and support business development and technical proposals.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •Degree qualified in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or engineering geology, with strong proven ability in soil mechanics.
  • •Knowledge of national and international design guidelines and regulations.
  • •Mining and geotechnical experience relating to mine waste disposal/facilities.
  • •Ability to interpret and monitor results and use tools to monitor and design geotechnical structures for client operational requirements.
  • •Theoretical and practical experience of project management and consultancy, supporting client relationships, projects, and project teams.
