Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver dental services including emergency treatments, general and preventative care, restorations, and minor oral surgical procedures.
  • •Perform x-rays, extractions, root canal treatments, and design/management of prosthodontics.
  • •Coordinate with senior dental officers (depending on clinic size), medical officers, nursing officers, and specialist dental providers as needed.
  • •Promote and maintain good oral health in line with Defence Policies and Procedures to ensure patients are dentally fit for deployment.
  • •Provide dental services as part of the ADF Health Services contract on Wednesdays (1 day per week).

Key Requirements

  • •Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist (General) with AHPRA.
  • •Minimum 2 years full-time post-graduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
  • •Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
  • •Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
  • •High levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
