Job Summary

Lead Huntington’s Government, Non-Profit, and Native America Financial Services credit portfolio as a group leadership team leader. Manage a team of portfolio managers and partner with Relationship Managers and Credit Risk to drive profitable growth while protecting the bank. Oversee underwriting, monitoring, and portfolio administration (delinquencies, collateral, covenants, renewals), provide front-end guidance, and attract, recruit, coach, and retain top talent.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead a team of portfolio managers (Managing Directors, Directors, Vice Presidents) plus associates and analysts for the Government, Non-Profit, and Native American credit portfolio.
•Oversee timely underwriting and monitoring activities and ensure team work product aligns with bank policies, procedures, and best practices.
•Manage portfolio administration including delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base, covenant compliance, and product renewals.
•Identify and escalate emerging concerns and interact with senior management to promote awareness of the business and portfolio.
•Recruit, retain, and motivate team members; provide front-end guidance to relationship management and credit products, and may lead key client negotiations and structuring of complex transactions and credits.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Accounting, or related field).
•10+ years of credit experience in a portfolio management/underwriting role in Government, Non-Profit, and/or Native American related industries.
•3+ years of experience in a management role.
•High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
•Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred).
