Job Summary

Maintain and repair the RSAF Tornado fleet to keep aircraft serviceable and support an active flying program by performing Jet Engine component maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and on-aircraft system testing. Ensure compliance with RSAF Technical Orders, tool control procedures, and MOE standards; manage spare parts via GOLDesp; and provide line technical support and briefings, including work order actioning and special inspections.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Perform engine and component maintenance including inspection, surveys, evaluation, repairs, servicing, overhaul, modification, and on-aircraft system testing.
•Maintain compliance with RSAF Technical Orders, MOE standards and procedures, and ensure strict tool control for all Jet Engine work areas.
•Manage spare parts requirements using the GOLDesp logistics system and action work orders for unscheduled arisings identified during maintenance.
•Conduct TCTOs and special inspections when directed, and provide engine inspections using visual aids.
•Provide line technical support to the RSAF on engineering matters, including briefings, daily work recordings, and support/input to Rolls Royce personnel activities.

Key Requirements

•A recognized technical qualification to NVQ/ONC/OND/BTEC level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or a technical apprenticeship.
•Substantial post-qualification practical maintenance experience in an operational flying aircraft environment with formal recorded workplace-applied training.
•Fluency in English and the ability to demonstrate sound oral and written two-way communication skills.
•Ability to work on initiative to resolve complex technical issues and work effectively in a mixed workforce.
•Relevant type training and understanding/application of human factors, error management, health and safety, and proactive hazard analysis.
