Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead development, calibration, validation, and interpretation of hydrologic and hydraulic models using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D).
  • •Manage and deliver flood risk assessments, flood forecasting and early warning systems, watershed management, river engineering, and urban stormwater projects.
  • •Conduct hydrologic/hydraulic analyses including rainfall-runoff modelling, river hydraulics, floodplain management, drainage design, dam break assessments, and reservoir operations studies.
  • •Perform advanced geospatial analysis in ArcGIS/QGIS, including DEM processing, terrain analysis, flood inundation mapping, and spatial database management.
  • •Support proposal preparation and client presentations, and provide technical oversight/quality assurance for engineering calculations, reports, and project documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree (ME/MTech) in Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, Hydraulic Engineering, or related discipline.
  • •8–10 years of professional experience in Hydrology, Hydraulics, Flood Risk Management, and Water Resources Engineering.
  • •Demonstrated expertise in HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D) modelling, including model development, calibration, validation, and interpretation.
  • •Proficiency in ArcGIS/QGIS for geospatial analysis (DEM processing, terrain modelling, flood mapping) and leading technical delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
  • •Knowledge of Indian regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g., CPHEEO, IRC, MoRTH, BIS, CWC Guidelines) and relevant international design standards.
