Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and maintain comprehensive architectural blueprints, sequence diagrams, and data-flow mappings for CommerceLayer integrations with PIM/ERP/OMS systems.
  • •Design low-latency, globally performant caching, edge computation, and structural guardrails for API efficiency.
  • •Lead security parameter definition across the transaction pipeline, including encryption, API token lifecycle, and webhook signature verification.
  • •Establish rollout and co-existence strategies for phase-based market launches while deprecating legacy commerce properties.
  • •Run architectural discovery and governance forums to align teams, assess readiness, and document interface contracts, fallback procedures, and runbooks.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of eCommerce experience plus technical software engineering and architecture experience at massive global scale.
  • •5+ years mastery of TypeScript/JavaScript, REST APIs, GraphQL, JSON:API specifications, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • •5+ years experience with API modeling utilities, microservice orchestration tools, and CI/CD automated deployment runners (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • •1+ years of CommerceLayer experience.
  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline.
