Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage science laboratories to ensure equipment, tools, chemicals, and materials are adequately stocked and maintained.
  • •Maintain health and safety compliance, including PPE availability and safe storage with updated safety data sheets (SDS).
  • •Set up experiments and practical demonstrations, including preparation of required solutions and handling of hazardous substances.
  • •Monitor stock levels, support ordering/receiving of chemicals, equipment, and consumables, and conduct regular inventories.
  • •Clean laboratory rooms and prep rooms after experiments, including cleaning glassware and ensuring proper disposal of chemical waste; assist with student lab investigations and IB IA support.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of one year’s experience in a similar position/environment.
  • •Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff and students.
  • •Strong attention to detail, organised approach, and ability to work as a team player.
  • •Ability to support health and safety compliance in science laboratories, including safe handling and disposal of chemical waste.
