  • •Collaborate with engineering teams, cloud providers, and database partners to evolve database architecture and platform strategy.
  • •Build self-service and automated platform capabilities to simplify database deployment, provisioning, and operations.
  • •Establish observability with monitoring, tracing, logging, and actionable insights to improve reliability and operational performance.
  • •Lead production events with rapid mitigation, deep root-cause analysis, and long-term resiliency improvements via automation and self-healing systems; provide operational stewardship in a follow-the-sun model.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • •7+ years operating highly available, critical database platforms at scale.
  • •Hands-on experience with two or more: MongoDB, Cassandra, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Percona XtraDB Cluster, or MariaDB Galera Cluster.
  • •Experience operating database platforms on AWS and/or Azure, including managed services such as Amazon RDS, Keyspaces, DynamoDB, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and MongoDB Atlas.
  • •Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code and automation tools (Terraform, Chef, or Ansible), plus distributed systems and database performance engineering (capacity planning, query tuning, indexing).
