Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and deliver reactor, kinetic, and process models; create and maintain process analytics models for refinery and petrochemical technologies.
  • •Develop yield estimating tools and use kinetics, mass transfer, and reaction engineering to support PT technology development.
  • •Analyze plant operating data to produce actionable insights and performance recommendations, including catalyst life, cycle length, yield forecasting, and trend monitoring.
  • •Validate analytics solutions against historical plant and customer data; collaborate with Technical Services, R&D, software development, and customer teams to define and implement KPIs.
  • •Monitor scientific/modeling literature and recommend new modeling equipment or tools; improve work processes and modeling techniques.

Key Requirements

  • •A PhD in Chemical Engineering with 2+ years in modeling, process simulation, process development, or reaction engineering.
  • •Or a Master's/Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field with 5-10 years in R&D/process technology/digital solutions/technical services.
  • •Experience in refining, petrochemical, hydroprocessing, hydrotreating, or catalytic reaction systems.
  • •Strong understanding of reaction engineering, process fundamentals, and refinery operations.
  • •Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, Aspen Plus, Unisim, and equivalent tools, plus statistical analysis and regression techniques.
