Job Summary

Provide advanced legal advice and support to management, business leaders, and other stakeholders on complex engagements, transactions, and legal-technical issues within a defined legal discipline. Lead external-party matters involving regulators when assigned, counsel legal colleagues, and help develop and implement policies, programs, and risk management initiatives. Support commercial and legal negotiations while collaborating across departments to advise on governance, business, and operational changes.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide legal advice and support to management, business leaders, and other stakeholders on engagements, transactions, issues, and challenges.
•Take the lead on engagements and transactions with external parties, including regulators, when assigned.
•Provide functional-area expertise and counsel to other legal practitioners.
•Develop and implement initiatives, programs, tools, and related materials to enhance proficiency and share know-how.
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize legal risk management and support commercial and legal negotiations.

Key Requirements

•Substantial experience in a specific legal discipline or functional area within organizations of similar scale and complexity.
•Advanced experience advising on highly complex, legal-technical issues and challenges.
•Advanced experience developing programs, policies, frameworks, and structures to manage the legal discipline at the required scale.
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
•Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and negotiate while providing legal solutions with significant impact.
