Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, compile, and analyze data for substation components and equipment specifications, including procurement package development and IFR/IRC design review processes.
  • •Assist with reviewing third-party design documents, procurement lists, and project plans.
  • •Perform electrical engineering design work including single line/three line diagrams, wiring diagrams, substation layouts, bus arrangement, grounding grid design, and lightning protection.
  • •Develop electrical calculations for loads, equipment sizing, feeder sizing, voltage drop, grounding, lighting circuits and controls, and power distribution.
  • •Prepare technical reports, sketches, calculations, and visualizations; support QC standards, compliance documentation, and engineering studies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • •3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience designing power transmission and distribution systems in utility or industrial/commercial environments.
  • •Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and permitting/project-related design/build practices.
  • •Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design.
  • •Ability to coordinate with agency regulators and understand requirements, codes, and compliance record-keeping.
