Job Summary

Lead and/or support strategic procurement for UK and Ireland infrastructure projects, acting as procurement subject matter expert to design delivery models, contract strategies, and routes to market; manage competitive procurement processes; advise on commercial aspects and category management; and support proposal work while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and/or support sector-leading projects and programmes as the strategic procurement subject matter expert.
•Provide procurement advice including understanding client drivers and project success factors, leading delivery model, contract strategy, and route to market design.
•Manage the competitive procurement process including market engagement, supplier shortlisting, tender development, management, evaluation, and negotiation.
•Provide advice on commercial aspects, category management and performance management.
•Support work-winning activity including contributing to proposal documentation and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-value, multi-discipline outcomes.

Key Requirements

•Five years post-qualification knowledge and experience leading the procurement of complex construction and infrastructure projects.
•Experience managing the procurement lifecycle from sourcing through to contract management.
•Proven project / programme management experience including ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
•Possess strong people skills and be an effective communicator, able to influence, challenge and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
•Experience in areas such as strategic sourcing, category management and contract management.
