Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle in accordance with applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver the truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading materials using specialized equipment when warranted; return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices, bills of lading) and perform routine truck service tasks; report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold either a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle’s weight.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations.
  • •Must pass a DOT physical, as trucks driven are over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds; must be able to travel frequently.
