Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead fieldwork projects from planning and consent applications, delivering archaeological strategies and works for developments and infrastructure.
  • •Prepare competitive tenders and design archaeological fieldwork scope and methodology in line with WSP Health and Safety protocols and requirements.
  • •Produce or contribute to archaeological desk-based assessment.
  • •Undertake stakeholder, curator, and client liaison.
  • •Monitor and assure the work of WSP-approved fieldwork subcontractors, including technical review of deliverables and RAMS.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in archaeological fieldwork project management, including project, financial, and staff management.
  • •Robust knowledge of Ireland archaeology and history, plus full knowledge of the planning process and relevant environmental/heritage legislation and guidance in Ireland.
  • •Experience across multiple areas such as heritage and planning, masterplanning, heritage conservation, heritage-led regeneration, recreation and tourism, placemaking, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and business development.
  • •Excellent writing skills, strong communication, and ability to work as a team player.
  • •A highly motivated, conscientious, and efficient approach with the ability to meet deadlines and budget in a consultancy environment.
