Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise staff engineers and task leads; perform self-performed calculations and prepare drawings and technical specifications.
  • •Prepare technical studies/reports and guide/review the work of staff engineers.
  • •Oversee calculations, cost estimates, drawings, specifications and reports; perform QA checks.
  • •Manage marine facility projects (cargo terminals, DoD, private terminals, public agencies) and coordinate multi-discipline teams (civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical, mechanical, coastal, fire protection, architecture).
  • •Lead client meetings, design charrettes, proposals, negotiations, and staff estimates; support business development and maintain client relationships.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • •7+ years of post-education experience in marine/port/coastal design
  • •Engineer license required (multi-state preferred)
  • •Aptitude in maritime codes (ASCE, COPRI) and DoD criteria (UFC, UFGC)
  • •Competency to supervise staff in state-of-the-art computer programs
