Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead planning and delivery of ecological inputs for internal and external clients.
  • •Produce and technically review ecological assessments including PEAs, protected species baseline reports, Ecological Impact Assessments, Habitats Regulations Assessments, and Biodiversity Net Gain calculations.
  • •Provide technical leadership to deliver proportionate and pragmatic solutions.
  • •Lead consultation and engagement with clients and stakeholders including planning authorities, statutory bodies, and the public.
  • •Lead bids and tenders for ecological services and mentor/support junior staff and peers.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstratable experience planning and delivering ecological services on UK or Ireland projects.
  • •Strong understanding of relevant wildlife conservation.
  • •Membership of an appropriate professional institution and evidence of working towards Chartership (e.g., CIEEM or related).
  • •Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area, including protected species licences.
  • •A proactive approach to Health and Safety and experience mentoring ecology team members.
