Job Summary

Lead the planning and delivery of ecological inputs for internal and external clients across UK&I, managing ecological assessments and technical reviews such as PEAs, protected species baseline reports, Ecological Impact Assessments, Habitats Regulations Assessments, and Biodiversity Net Gain calculations. Provide technical leadership for pragmatic solutions, lead client and stakeholder consultation, contribute to bids and tenders, and mentor junior staff while supporting innovation and capability development in the Nature team.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead planning and delivery of ecological inputs for internal and external clients.
•Produce and technically review ecological assessments including PEAs, protected species baseline reports, Ecological Impact Assessments, Habitats Regulations Assessments, and Biodiversity Net Gain calculations.
•Provide technical leadership to deliver proportionate and pragmatic solutions.
•Lead consultation and engagement with clients and stakeholders including planning authorities, statutory bodies, and the public.
•Lead bids and tenders for ecological services and mentor/support junior staff and peers.

Key Requirements

•Demonstratable experience planning and delivering ecological services on UK or Ireland projects.
•Strong understanding of relevant wildlife conservation.
•Membership of an appropriate professional institution and evidence of working towards Chartership (e.g., CIEEM or related).
•Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area, including protected species licences.
•A proactive approach to Health and Safety and experience mentoring ecology team members.
