Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and grow a team of Data Engineers, including setting goals, running 1:1s, providing feedback, and owning hiring and performance.
  • •Set architecture and design standards for ELT/ETL pipelines in Python/SQL/Spark on Databricks and make build-vs-buy/platform trade-off decisions.
  • •Drive lakehouse and warehouse evolution with dimensional modeling/star schemas and incremental patterns such as Delta Lake and CDC.
  • •Set technical standards for real-time/near-real-time streaming jobs, idempotency, and exactly-once semantics; review designs before shipping.
  • •Own SLOs and on-call rotations for data platforms and ensure monitoring, alerting, and capacity/cost management scale with the business.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years building and operating production data systems at scale, including prior experience leading a team or mentoring senior engineers.
