Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform electrical engineering design work on assigned projects under guidance of senior staff.
  • •Collaborate with Project Engineer and Project Manager to develop design schedules and budgets for electrical engineering activities.
  • •Lead solar PV and BESS system design tasks including array layouts, DC string sizing, equipment layouts, and utility interconnections.
  • •Develop engineering calculations, construction/equipment specifications, and construction drawing support (e.g., one-lines, network diagrams).
  • •Support projects across the full lifecycle (feasibility through commissioning) and participate in meetings requiring occasional travel.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) with 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of education/experience.
  • •Demonstrated experience designing and integrating utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.
  • •Current professional engineering license (PE) and ability to attain additional states by comity.
  • •Proficiency with industry software such as Homer, NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, and Helioscope.
  • •Strong knowledge of power systems and applicable codes/standards (e.g., NEC, IBC, NFPA 855, NESC, IEEE, PIP) and engineering calculations.
