Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead WSP’s Mine Advisory group expansion as a highly experienced Principal Mining Engineer.
  • •Perform mine design for open pit and/or underground mines, including scheduling, optimisation, equipment selection, and operating/capital cost estimates.
  • •Oversee project lifecycle activities (proposal, contract, scope of work, technical quality, and senior review) and consult with appropriate peers.
  • •Deliver cost-effective, technically appropriate solutions meeting time, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
  • •Support due diligence reviews for mergers and acquisitions under supervision of other senior and principal engineers, and manage tender/proposal/report preparation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
  • •15+ years experience in mining engineering across studies, operations, and/or consulting.
  • •Proven capability in mine design, scheduling, optimisation, and technical review.
  • •Strong commercial acumen working directly with clients on advisory and technical assignments.
  • •Excellent communication skills to turn insights into clear recommendations.
