Job Summary

Oversee field project safety planning and execution for large, technically complex electric utility construction work within the Greenlink Nevada Program. Serve as the WSP field safety liaison across NV Energy, contractors, consultants, and agencies, coordinating safety strategy, compliance, audits, reporting, and incident/root-cause processes. Lead safety management scope delivery, manage multi-site safety performance, and support executive client briefings while maintaining safety plans and required program documentation using POWER360 and the NV Energy 1st Application.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead overall field execution of WSP’s safety management scope for the Greenlink Nevada Program.
•Coordinate technical and operational safety activities to align with contract scope and regulatory standards, serving as the field safety liaison among NV Energy, contractors, consultants, and agencies.
•Develop, maintain, and execute project safety management and site-specific safety plans, including reviewing contractor SSSPs and work plans for compliance.
•Conduct safety audits, oversee implementation of NV Energy’s 1st Application reporting, review contractor incidents and root cause analyses, and process WSP/NV Energy incident reporting.
•Maintain safety documentation and records on POWER360, ensure EHS orientation completion, and participate in executive client briefings and progress reporting forums.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in safety management or closely related discipline, or equivalent proven experience.
•OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent health and safety training.
•10+ years of experience as a safety manager for large complex electrical infrastructure projects.
•Expertise in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
•First Aid/CPR certification and the ability to develop and deliver safety training programs.
