Job Summary

Support the Excess & Surplus Property underwriting team by reviewing and summarizing risk exposures, controls, loss history, and financial condition to inform submission decisions. Follow underwriting guidance to help quote and issue policies, and provide end-to-end servicing support for new business, renewals, and endorsements. Respond to inquiries under close supervision while working with underwriters and customers/agents.

Key Responsibilities

•Review, evaluate, and summarize risk exposures, controls, loss history, and financial condition to support underwriting decisions.
•Follow Underwriter instructions on policy rating, subjective pricing, policy construction, coverages/exclusions, and mandatory forms to quote and issue policies.
•Provide account servicing support with responsibility for end-to-end servicing for new business, renewals, and endorsements for basic to moderately complex products.
•Respond to written, verbal, and telephone inquiries appropriately and on time under close supervision by Underwriter and/or Manager.
•Support Underwriters with broker/agent/distributor/customer interactions using basic customer service skills.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 23.8 - 38.94 hourly

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree with no prior experience in Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance, OR a Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice path including an Associate Degree with no prior experience.
•High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus 2+ years in Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance.
•Knowledge of data collection and analysis.
•Microsoft Office experience.
•Strong communication skills and ability to provide accurate data in a timely manner (preferred to be noted as part of the fit).
