Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and maintain backend services, data pipelines, and integrations powering accounting, reconciliation, and close workflows at scale.
  • •Partner with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into reliable, auditable, automated systems.
  • •Shape team architecture and engineering best practices, mentoring junior engineers and raising the technical bar.
  • •Improve data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system performance in a high-impact, compliance-critical environment.
  • •Take technical ownership of critical accounting infrastructure projects from design through delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience in software or data engineering, with a track record of owning complex backend or data infrastructure projects.
  • •Deep expertise in distributed systems and data engineering, with hands-on experience using modern data stack tools.
  • •Ability to bridge engineering and finance by understanding revenue recognition, reconciliation, and auditability concepts well enough to build compliant systems.
  • •Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders using a collaborative, low-ego approach.
  • •Familiarity with SOX controls, data quality frameworks, or financial systems such as NetSuite is a strong plus.
