Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform technical tasks assigned such as structural analyses, calculations, design, verification, or desktop studies for maritime infrastructure development.
  • •Conduct berthing studies, mooring analyses, condition assessments, and rehabilitation studies.
  • •Prepare reports, specifications, cost estimates, and undertake tender reviews.
  • •Communicate with internal clients and other design team members.
  • •Coordinate development of drawing packages with CAD technicians and apply ownership of assigned work packages.

Key Requirements

  • •4-6 years demonstrable experience in structural design of maritime structures (e.g., marginal quays, jetties, dolphins, Ro Ro facilities, marinas, coastal structures).
  • •Good knowledge of relevant Eurocodes and British standards applicable to maritime structures.
  • •Excellent computer/software skills including STAAD.Pro, Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • •Knowledge of construction techniques, buildability, and construction materials for maritime structures.
  • •Good organizational/interpersonal skills and ability to produce high-quality written and verbal reports.
