Key Responsibilities

•Manage the day-to-day activities of the Substation Department, achieving department business plan goals and maintaining high-quality standards; mentor staff and promote intra- and inter-department collaboration.
•Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, architects, planners, and scientists on multiple projects, including budgeting, hours tracking, and QA/QC.
•Apply high-level substation engineering techniques across project phases from concept to operation to identify improvements.
•Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and updated infrastructure layout plans; coordinate with owners, other disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
•Prepare technical reports and presentations; support proposals and business development opportunities; stay current with latest substation engineering practices.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline and 7–10 years of post-education engineering experience, including substation design; demonstrated leadership of project or client teams.
•Proficient with electrical engineering principles, practices, design/build processes, and knowledge of relevant electrical codes and regulations.
•Strong ability to perform technical computations, read plans/specifications, and compare against applicable regulations.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas to both engineering and non-engineering audiences.
•Proficient with design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD) and office tools, with ability to work independently and mentor junior staff.
