Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and manage mechanical design for wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects, including pumping stations, headloss and pumping system analysis, and pump selection.
  • •Create designs for screens, grit removal plant, penstocks, valves, odour control systems, and plant/pipework layouts.
  • •Produce technical specifications and reports, including schedules, lifting strategies, and P&IDs, and support technical deliverables to standards.
  • •Participate across design stages (feasibility through construction design) while complying with national and international design standards.
  • •Collaborate with local and nationwide discipline teams, communicate with clients, and contribute to bids and proposals.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience designing water and wastewater engineering deliverables, ideally including treatment schemes.
  • •BEng or MEng in a related engineering field with experience in water and wastewater treatment.
  • •Chartered (or near Chartered) member of a relevant professional institution.
  • •Experience working in the water sector for a consultancy.
