Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot, repair, re-commission, and maintain field instrumentation to ensure efficient operation and reduce equipment downtime.
  • •Attend to power and desalination plant field instrumentation breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimum direction.
  • •Assess allocated jobs, select necessary tools and equipment, and order required spares from the warehouse.
  • •Use the computerized maintenance system to order spare parts and maintain records of maintenance work completed.
  • •Ensure maintenance work follows safety procedures and plant operational requirements; report repeated breakdowns and assist with RCFA; provide on-the-job training to new craftsmen.

Key Requirements

  • •Higher secondary or diploma.
  • •Familiar with maintenance tools and able to demonstrate good knowledge of plant safety.
  • •Previously experience working in a power or desalination plant with exposure to maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, flow; pneumatic & hydraulic valve actuation).
  • •Knowledge of CO2 fire protection and infrared gas detection systems.
  • •Able to read and understand engineering drawings and manuals, and work under time/technical pressure in hot, dirty environments.
