Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify and quantify global Marine NatCat accumulation risks (modelled and non-modelled) across sub-lines to support risk mitigation and underwriting controls.
  • •Develop and run Marine nat cat underwriting tools and reports, including catastrophe loss modeling and regular/ad-hoc data extracts for portfolio monitoring and CAT limit oversight.
  • •Serve as business owner for IT and data initiatives by scoping, prioritizing, and delivering reporting and transformation projects that support Marine underwriting and portfolio steering (e.g., Power BI dashboards).
  • •Provide consultancy by explaining CAT modeling results and reports to Marine underwriters, translating portfolio impacts into recommendations aligned to Marine-specific requirements.
  • •Maintain Marine portfolio steering and NatCat underwriting tools; manage evaluation processes for modeling upgrades, including documentation and technical/portfolio impact analyses.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years’ professional insurance and/or reinsurance experience, plus at least 3 years of global Marine underwriting practice understanding.
  • •Bachelor’s degree preferably in Insurance and Risk Management, Geosciences, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • •Experience using catastrophe modeling software (RMS, AIR, EQECAT) and GIS (Geographical Information Systems) applications.
  • •Project management experience to plan milestones/tasks, manage resources, control and monitor projects, and report to stakeholders.
  • •Strong computer skills, particularly Excel & VBA (database-applications knowledge is an advantage).
