Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with senior team members to prepare and send requests for proposals to insurance carriers and track spreadsheet results.
  • •Review contracts, benefit plan summaries, and carrier source documents for accuracy under direction; learn more complex compliance and regulatory language.
  • •Create and maintain client files and policy records, and take the lead on answering client and insurance personnel questions such as ID card requests, claims, and billing.
  • •Coordinate with senior account staff to develop ongoing client and carrier relationships and support renewal recommendations under direction.
  • •Assist with client compliance audits and filings (including Form 5500), support client projects (e.g., open enrollment and non-discrimination testing), and create monthly/quarterly/annual reports and briefings.

Key Requirements

  • •More than 3 years’ client service and/or industry and product line experience.
  • •Associates degree or equivalent experience; BA/BS preferred.
  • •Knowledge of benefits administration and Healthcare Reform, plus industry trends and carrier products/services.
  • •Ability to work independently and anticipate client and team needs, with effective time management and decision-making.
  • •Strong written and oral communication, including strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to present publicly.
