Job Summary

Serve as the technical bridge between product development, test engineering, production, and external contract manufacturers. Translate early prototypes and incomplete designs into repeatable, high-yield builds that can scale into production, including product/process validation. Own product data by maintaining BOMs and driving engineering release and change orders through PLM systems. Collaborate in Agile/SCRUM with cross-functional stakeholders and optimize manufacturing using failure analysis, DFMA, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the technical anchor between R&D, test engineering, production, contract manufacturers, finance, and legal.
•Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drive Engineering Release and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes using PLM systems.
•Design and execute product and process validations to scale designs from prototypes to production at high volume.
•Run prototyping, initial engineering builds, and design verification with mentorship, progressing to autonomous ownership of major product lines.
•Attend product development SCRUMs and cross-functional meetings; analyze failures and optimize manufacturing for design-for-manufacturability (DFMA) and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Electronic, Mechatronic, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
•3 to 5 years of experience in the electronics industry working with PCBs/PCBAs, cables, fan assemblies, and electromechanical integrations.
•Proven experience managing product data within PLM systems such as PTC Windchill or Teamcenter; MRP experience with Oracle or SAP Business One is highly desired.
•Solid working experience in an ISO9001 certified environment with product and process validation methodologies.
•Broad, T-shaped engineering understanding across domains, plus assertive communication to push back when designs are not optimized for assembly.
