Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical guidance for planning, analysis, design, and delivery of structural engineering solutions for electrical substation projects, including steel structures, rigid bus supports, and foundations.
  • •Prepare structural calculations, design criteria, and calculation packages to satisfy client standards, applicable codes, and project requirements.
  • •Develop construction specifications (steel and concrete), cost estimates, and technical inputs for proposals and project schedules.
  • •Produce and/or review structural drawings and deliverables, including design drawings and fabrication-ready documentation.
  • •Coordinate with cross-functional disciplines (electrical, civil, geotechnical, and construction) to support integrated substation design solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • •3 to 5 years of relevant post‑education experience in structural engineering, including design experience supporting electrical substation structures and foundations
  • •Engineer in Training Certification
  • •Knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices, including steel design, concrete design, soil mechanics, and foundation design
  • •Experience with structural analysis and/or finite element modeling software (e.g., RISA-3D, STAAD Pro, or similar)
