Job Summary

Manage and maintain RF and telecommunications communication systems for the U.S. Coast Guard C5I Service Center. Perform engineering work across installation, repair, and maintenance of MF/HF/VHF/UHF and SATCOM systems, secure voice systems, radar, navigation, and RADHAZ/EMI controls. Develop and review engineering drawings with red-line updates for “as built” configurations, plan and conduct tests, analyze results, and prepare reports for complex, non-routine assignments.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform engineering, design, maintenance, and installation of telecommunications and electronic systems.
•Repair, maintain, or install multiple electronic equipment/systems including MF/HF/VHF/UHF and SATCOM, secure voice, radar, navigation, SINS and DGPS radio beacon transmitters, telephone systems, IP-PBX key systems, and RADHAZ/EMI controls.
•Develop and/or review engineering drawings, providing red-line corrections for “as built” configurations.
•Design, develop, document, construct major units/devices/equipment, conduct tests or experiments, analyze results, and report findings.
•Determine test requirements and procedures, conduct tests using instruments, analyze/evaluate results, and prepare reports and recommendations.

•Active Secret (or Interim Secret Clearance).
•Associate degree in engineering technology OR completion of USCG or DOD Technical “A” School.

•Up to 25% travel is required.
•Must be able to perform duties climbing ladders, standing and bending.
