Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, pre-train, and fine-tune in-house LLMs and multimodal foundation models, applying post-training alignment techniques such as SFT, RLHF, and DPO.
  • •Architect and optimize models to run on tactical edge compute and power-constrained onboard hardware, improving latency, memory, and execution speed.
  • •Design and implement agentic architectures, multi-agent coordination frameworks, and planning loops for complex multi-domain missions.
  • •Collaborate with computer vision, perception, and motion planning teams to integrate multimodal sensor inputs (camera feeds, radar, telemetry, and text-based operational orders).
  • •Define and execute data collection and evaluation strategies across physical assets, test sites, and simulations, working with AI infrastructure engineers to measure performance, reliability, and safety; rapidly prototype and scale to production-grade features.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 220,000 - 292,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Strong production-level coding in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
  • •Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning, and evaluating LLMs, generative AI, or multimodal models.
  • •2+ years focused on generative models and modern transformer architectures, with a background in computer vision, NLP, robotics, or speech.
  • •Experience using modern model training/alignment/orchestration tooling such as Axolotl, Hugging Face, DeepSpeed, Megatron-LM, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
  • •Degree (B.S., M.S., or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field; eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
