Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Perform detailed mechanical calculations for industrial equipment and systems, including stress analysis, heat transfer, ventilation, piping, rotating machinery, and reliability engineering.
•Develop precise technical deliverables such as equipment specifications, P&IDs, mechanical datasheets, scoping documents, and design notes.
•Model and analyze mechanical components and assemblies, selecting materials, mechanical tolerances, and design parameters aligned with industrial codes and standards.
•Conduct equipment sizing (pumps, fans, compressors, heat exchangers, industrial HVAC units), ensuring safety, efficiency, and long-term durability.
•Apply CSA, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, and other industrial standards to validate designs and ensure compliance across all deliverables.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with eligibility for P.Eng. (OIQ)
•10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial environments (manufacturing lines, heavy equipment, process systems, utilities, material handling)
•Strong command of modeling/analysis tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, FEA tools, mechanical simulation software, or reliability analysis platforms
•Deep familiarity with industrial equipment (pumps, conveyors, blowers, pressure systems, mechanical drives, rotating/static equipment)
•Ability to perform field verification, equipment assessments, and detailed technical walkthroughs in operational industrial environments
