Key Responsibilities

  • •Own back-end features and projects from scoping and design through production, collaborating with other engineers to deliver team goals.
  • •Design and maintain robust, flexible, maintainable systems that support scalability and fast-paced development.
  • •Continuously improve iwoca’s Lending API and developer tools to help partners integrate quickly and easily.
  • •Deliver new functionality critical to onboarding important partners and embedded partner integrations.
  • •Run experiments (RCTs) and optimize the partner-referred conversion funnel using data and collaboration with embedded analytics expertise.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience designing and building scalable back-end systems, ideally in Python.
  • •Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL, including performance and maintainability considerations.
  • •Experience building and maintaining reliable, well-documented APIs that are easy to use.
  • •Experience managing projects end to end from business problems through to delivering technical solutions.
  • •Clear written and verbal communication with a pragmatic balance between delivery speed and long-term system health.
