Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct sterile compounding activities in compliance with USP 797 and USP 800.
  • •Maintain aseptic technique and cleanroom standards, including workflow, daily logs, and environmental monitoring in conjunction with quality.
  • •Provide training and technical guidance for aseptic manipulations, presterilization activities, visual inspection, labeling/packaging, and materials/equipment preparation and movement.
  • •Perform and accurately document compounding procedures and quality assurance/quality control checks for compounded sterile preparations.
  • •Review and approve materials prior to use, oversee equipment use with the maintenance team, and coordinate with the pharmacist-in-charge and other sterile compounding leadership for regulatory and quality matters.

Key Requirements

  • •Pharm D or a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • •Active pharmacist license in Ohio.
  • •Pharmacist experience with sterile compounding, preferably from nonsterile starting components.
  • •Proficiency in USP <797> and USP <800> requirements and best practices.
  • •Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, plus ability to work flexible shift times and use Windows-based systems.
