Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and refine core UI components (forms, filters, navigation, tables) using Quest’s existing token and typography foundations.
  • •Ensure components work across the six-workspace shell pattern and are reusable across products.
  • •Define consistent variant/state conventions (default, hover, focus, disabled, error) and responsive behavior.
  • •Build component-level documentation, including usage guidelines, do’s/don’ts, accessibility notes, and token-to-code mapping.
  • •Configure Claude Code and related tooling to connect the design system to the codebase, and document the AI-assisted workflow for ongoing maintenance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a design-related field or equivalent experience, with a strong portfolio and hands-on design system component library experience.
  • •4+ years of UI, product, or related design experience, including owning/building a design system component library rather than only working within one.
  • •Demonstrated ability to use Claude and/or Claude Code in production workflows, including configuring, prompting, and troubleshooting AI-assisted development tools.
  • •Advanced proficiency in Figma, including variables/design tokens, component variants, and auto layout.
  • •Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility and the ability to create clear, usable design system documentation for designers and engineers.
