Job Summary

Assist the Barge Foreman in mobilizing offshore operations by preparing anchors, pennant wires, and buoys, and monitoring anchor handling during repositioning on the seabed using Anchor Handling Tugs (AHTS). Check barge mooring system condition (anchor winches and anchor wires), plot and verify anchor positions, maintain anchor-handling documentation, and ensure compliance with HSE standards, reporting accidents and near-misses for investigation.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Barge Foreman in setting up the barge on work locations.
•Prepare anchors, pennant wires, and buoys during barge mobilization.
•Check barge mooring system condition (anchor winches and anchor wires) and report findings to the Barge Foreman.
•Plot and monitor anchor positions during repositioning onto the seabed using AHTS to ensure proper lay operation positioning.
•Ensure compliance with company policies and HSE standards, record documentation, and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses for investigation.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 8 years’ experience in offshore, with relevant offshore construction experience essential.
•Good written and spoken English communication skills.
•Knowledgeable of standard offshore safety training requirements.
•Knowledgeable of HSEMS, environmental awareness, hazardous material awareness, and waste handling.
•Must have experience using hand and power tools.
