Job Summary

Brussels-based government relations executive responsible for engagement across the European Union and NATO, shaping policy and industrial strategy in defense, commercial aerospace, and EU policy areas. Lead EU policymaking influence with the European Commission, European Parliament, and Council, plus NATO coordination, to advance RTX’s European competitiveness and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

•Support and execute RTX’s EU engagement strategy, building trust with stakeholders to influence policy, regulation, and funding impacting aerospace and defense.
•Maintain high-trust relationships with key stakeholders across the European Commission, European Parliament, Council, and NATO civilian/military staff.
•Monitor and shape EU legislative/regulatory developments across defense, aerospace, and cross-cutting policy domains; track complementary NATO initiatives.
•Advise internal leadership by translating EU/NATO policy developments into actionable business strategies and implications.
•Coordinate NATO engagement efforts to ensure coherence across transatlantic priorities and defense industrial efforts.

Key Requirements

•Extensive experience (more than 10 years) in EU policymaking and advocacy, preferably in Brussels, across EU institutions.
•Experience in aerospace/defense or a regulated industry, with ability to influence policy and regulatory outcomes.
•Background with top-tier consultancy, trade association, or public affairs firm.
•Proven capability to operate across multiple policy domains (defense, aerospace, trade, sustainability, etc.).
•Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with executive presence; fluent English; working French and other EU languages are advantageous.
